This community service project aims to raise awareness about the importance of improving reading skills through the School Literacy Movement for students at Karyamukti 1 Elementary School in Karyamukti Village, Lemahabang District, Karawang. The program targets students from underprivileged families who attend school for free, ensuring they continue to have access to quality education. Through the socialization of the School Literacy Movement, teachers actively guide and monitor the development of students' literacy skills. Data collection was conducted using observation, interviews, and documentation methods to assess the impact of this program on students' understanding of reading literacy and how its implementation affects their reading abilities. The results of the community service show that students’ understanding of the importance of reading literacy significantly increased after participating in the socialization. Additionally, the literacy strategies implemented by teachers have proven effective in enhancing students’ reading skills. With a better understanding of the importance of reading, students have become more motivated to actively engage in literacy activities held at school. Overall, the socialization of the School Literacy Movement has successfully had a positive impact on students' awareness of reading literacy and improved their reading skills, supporting the long-term goal of achieving the Golden Generation by 2045.
