Strengthening the Ability to Utilize Research Results for Learning Development

This community service activity aims to improve teachers' ability to utilize research results as the basis for learning development at SMPN 5 Yogyakarta. This program responds to the needs of teachers in facing dynamic learning challenges and demands to improve the quality of education. This strengthening is carried out through a series of intensive training and mentoring, including analysis of research results, application of research results in learning practices, and writing scientific papers. The methods used are workshops, group discussions, and hands-on practice sessions with case studies, which are attended by all subject teachers. The activity was attended by all teachers in the field of study at all levels. The results of the activity showed an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in reading, analyzing, and modifying learning based on the latest research results. The evaluation of the activity showed a significant improvement in teacher competence, especially in the skill of reviewing literature, applying research results into the classroom context, and developing teaching strategies that are more student-centered. This capacity strengthening program is able to encourage teachers to be more innovative and reflective in learning development, so that it is expected to improve the quality of learning in a sustainable manner.
