Abstract

Study purpose. This study aimed to develop and validate digital infographic learning media for fundamental movement learning based on traditional games among elementary school students.

Materials and methods. The study used a modified Research and Development (R&D) model consisting of needs analysis, design, development, expert validation, revision, and product prototype. The media content was based on Pat Ni Gajah, a traditional game using coconut shells connected with ropes. Data were collected through content analysis, media design documentation, expert validation sheets, and product revision notes. Three validators were involved: a PJOK content expert, a digital learning media expert, and an elementary school PJOK practitioner. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively, while quantitative validation scores were analyzed using Aiken’s V coefficient.

Results. The product was a digital infographic prototype containing game identity, learning objectives, equipment and play area, locomotor, non-locomotor, and manipulative movement demonstrations, a digital observation rubric, and four character values: self-confidence, enthusiasm, hard work, and cipline. Expert validation produced an overall Aiken’s V of 0.79, categorized as valid. The relevance of PJOK content and character-value integration reached high validity (V = 0.90), while movement demonstration clarity, visual design, observation rubric suitability, and local-wisdom relevance were valid (V = 0.73–0.75).

Conclusions. The digital infographic learning media prototype has adequate content validity and can proceed to product revision before limited classroom trials.
