Abstract

Studying the Qur'an certainly cannot be separated from the knowledge of recitation. Tajwid knowledge is absolutely necessary to reduce errors in reading the Koran. When studying the Koran, you don't just pay attention to its content or meaning, but you also need to read it tartil (regularly and correctly). Because if you read it wrong you will also get the understanding wrong. The aim of this service is to increase children's understanding of the science of recitation. The science of tajwid taught is the law of reading ta'awud, basmalah and also the law of nun sukun. The method used is lecture. The lecture method has advantages, including being easy for teachers to use, it becomes easy for teachers to master the class, teachers can explain large amounts of material, and can be followed by students on a large scale. Based on the results above, it shows that the level of understanding increased from 8 people to 10 people or in percentage from 53% to 66%. In the lack of understanding category the number decreased, as a percentage from 33.3% to 26.6%. Meanwhile, the not yet understood category also decreased from 13.3% to 6.6%. Seeing the increase in children who understand and a decrease in the not yet understood category, the use of this lecture method has been successfully implemented.
