Abstract

Literacy skills, especially reading and writing, are an important foundation in basic education. Many students experience difficulties in both skills. Indonesian, which includes reading, writing, speaking and listening skills, is an important part of the elementary school curriculum. This service aims to strengthen the relationship between reading skills and writing skills in grade 5 students at SD Negeri 2 Tambelang through an integrated approach in learning Indonesian. The methods used in this community service include socialization, teacher training, and interactive activities with students. The results of the activity showed that strengthening reading skills significantly influenced students' writing skills, with increased essay writing ability and better understanding of texts. This article discusses learning strategies that were successfully implemented, challenges faced, and solutions for further implementation. This approach also succeeded in building positive interactions between students and teachers, which ultimately encouraged students to be more confident in learning Indonesian.
