Peningkatan Kesadaran Hukum Serta Perlindungan Hak-Hak Perempuan Dan Anak Dalam Ruang Lingkup Keluarga Di Desa Kubangkarang

Abstract

This article discusses legal counseling activities to increase legal awareness and protection of women's and children's rights within the family scope in Kubangkarang Village, legal awareness is needed for the community regarding the protection of women and children, because it can reduce discrimination against women and children. This activity aims to understand the extent of the community's legal awareness of women's and children's rights and the factors that influence this low awareness. The implementation methods used are in the form of providing materials, mentoring systems, discussions, and questions and answers between participants and resource persons. This implementation was in Kubangkarang Village, Karangsembung District, Cirebon Regency on September 3, 2024. The results of the activities and discussions showed that the community and family members of Kubangkarang Village had begun to understand and understand the importance of maintaining, protecting, and obeying applicable laws, especially those related to the rights and obligations of women and children, as well as the legal settlement process through restorative justice. In addition, some family members and the Kubangkarang village community have become more open in discussing legal issues, and have played an active role in preserving the natural environment, including encouraging children's creativity and providing opportunities for their children to continue their education, as well as avoiding violence in the family and avoiding early marriage.
