Peningkatan Produktivitas Pertanian Dan Pengurangan Volume Sampah Desa Tegalwaru, Kecamatan Ciampea, Kabupaten Bogor Melalui Budidaya Maggot

Abstract

Tegalwaru Village in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, faces a serious waste management problem, particularly household organic waste, which accounts for 89.74% of the total. This community service program aims to introduce Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot cultivation to reduce the volume of organic waste while producing environmentally friendly kasgot fertilizer. The program involved PKK and posyandu groups, starting with socialization, maggot cultivation training, and a visit to PT Biomagg Sinergi International. A field survey showed that before the training, 66.67% of participants were unaware of the benefits of BSF maggots in organic waste processing. However, after the training, 86.67% of participants were interested in starting maggot cultivation, and 20% expressed interest in producing kasgot fertilizer. Quantitatively, this program is expected to reduce the volume of organic waste and increase plant productivity using kasgot fertilizer, although specific data on waste reduction and crop yield improvement still need further analysis. Challenges faced during the training included limited time and lack of intensive supervision, which affected the optimal results. This program has great potential for replication in other villages facing similar issues, with positive impacts on raising community awareness of waste management and contributing to sustainable agriculture
