The potential for DBD disease in Rongkop District, Gunungkidul, is relatively high, among other reasons is due to the many livestock houses that are sources of mosquitoes, one of which was observed in Petir A Hamlet. Following this, most of the people works as farmers who are also often get bitten by mosquitoes during their activities. On the other hand, the availability of lemongrass and bay leaves is quite abundant where almost all yards in the hamlet plant lemongrass and bay leaves, considering the potential for utilizing these two natural ingredients which can be used as mosquito repellent spray. Therefore, a community service program was formulated to make mosquito repellent spray from a mixture of lemongrass stalks and bay leaves. The aim of this program is providing and increasing community knowledge about the utilization of lemongrass and bay leaves for mosquito repellent spray. The method used for implementing this program consists of number of stages, namely observation, preparation, then also training and evaluation. The result of this program is mosquito repellent spray from a mixture of lemongrass stalks and bay leaves. Based on the filled questioannaire, the people in Petir A Hamlet gained knowledge and understanding, both theory and practice, regarding the use of lemongrass and bay leaves which are not limited to be used as kitchen ingredients.
