Abstract

Effective learning is essential to achieve optimal educational goals. One promising method is Teams Games Tournament (TGT), which integrates game elements and teamwork. This article discusses the benefits, implementation, and challenges of TGT in improving students' learning potential, and provides recommendations for its implementation in schools. The TGT model was chosen as an approach that emphasizes group work, social interaction, and active involvement of students in the learning process at SDN 1 Wangkelang. This study involved identifying learning needs, developing a TGT model that is appropriate to the school context, implementing it in learning, and evaluating learning outcomes. Data were collected through classroom observations using the TGT model. Data analysis was conducted to evaluate the increase in students' learning potential after the implementation of the TGT model. The results showed that the implementation of the TGT model significantly increased students' learning potential, marked by increased conceptual understanding, active participation, and learning motivation. The implication of this study is that the TGT model can be an effective strategy in improving the quality of learning at SDN 1 Wangkelang and other schools.
