Reading is a very important basic skill in education, especially at the elementary school level. At SDN 1 Tuk Karangsuwung, it was found that many early grade students faced difficulties in reading. This can hinder students' learning process in other subjects. This article aims to explore fun and effective learning methods to improve students' reading skills. Some of the methods used include role-playing techniques, story-based learning, and the use of visual media. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation, interviews and active participation in class. The research results showed that the use of fun methods significantly increased students' reading interest and reading skills at SDN 1 Tuk Karangsuwung. This method also helps students understand texts better and increases their confidence when reading.
