Abstract
Roads in several villages have problems, namely damage that occurs at several points on the road and the absence of road signs. This problem also occurs in Lemahabang Kulon Village, Lemahabang District, Cirebon Regency. To overcome this problem and facilitate road access to the hamlets in Lemahabang Kulon Village, KKN 04 students have carried out activities to provide road signs for local hamlets to simplify and complete the facilities and infrastructure for directions to the hamlets. This research aims to develop and implement street name signs to improve infrastructure and accessibility in rural areas. Lemahabang Kulon Village has a branching road network, with some village roads not having clear road signs, making it difficult for residents and visitors to find their destination. This activity is carried out in several stages. First, the field survei stage identified needs and strategic points for installing street signs. This survei was conducted through direct observation, documentation, and interviews with community leaders and village officials to understand local needs. Second, the design stage is carried out by considering functional and aesthetic aspects, where the design of the street sign is designed using materials that are durable and easy to read. Third, the implementation stage includes installing signs in strategic places. The research results show that the project to create street name signs in Lemahabang Kulon Village has succeeded in increasing regularity in the village navigation system, with the presence of street name signs, residents and visitors experience an average travel time reduction of up to 25% in finding certain locations.
