PELATIHAN METODE JARIMATIKA TERHADAP PENGUATAN OPERASI HITUNG PERKALIAN MATEMATIKA PADA ANAK-ANAK DI DESA SIGONG

Abstract

The Jarimatika method is a way of counting using the fingers to complete arithmetic operations in mathematics learning easily, quickly and with fun. This training is carried out to change children's thinking about bad assessments of mathematics lessons, namely by providing a mathematics learning method that is easy to understand and fun. It turns out that fourth grade children in Sigong Village still have difficulty calculating basic multiplication in mathematics learning, especially in counting operations. With mathematics tutoring training, children can understand mathematics learning which involves counting operations easily and quickly. The aim of this service activity is to increase interest in learning mathematics so as to make it easier for class IV children in Sigong Village to calculate basic multiplication operations without memorizing. To carry out this activity, two training methods were used, namely the lecture and question and answer methods. The results of this service are increasing numeracy skills in completing basic multiplication calculation operations as well as increasing children's interest in learning mathematics in Sigong Village.
