Abstract

The advancement of academia requires students to not only understand theory but also acquire practical skills in data processing and academic writing. However, many students still lack proficiency in using statistical software like SPSS and reference management tools such as Mendeley. This community service activity aimed to provide basic training in SPSS and Mendeley to enhance students' digital literacy and academic competencies. The method used was an educational participatory approach (learning by doing), involving two main sessions: SPSS training and Mendeley training. Results showed that 80% of participants were able to perform basic data analysis using SPSS and integrate Mendeley with Microsoft Word. Despite time limitations, participants demonstrated high enthusiasm. The training successfully improved participants' confidence and skills in data processing and reference management, and further advanced sessions are recommended.
