This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of mentoring and strengthening the teachings of aqidah akhlak in shaping the Islamic character of students at DTA At-Taqwa, Lemahabang District, Karawang Regency. The method used is field research with a qualitative approach, involving direct observation, interviews with teachers and students, as well as analysis of related documents. The results show that the strategies implemented, including teacher role modeling, instilling discipline, habituating positive activities, and creating a conducive learning environment, have successfully shaped the Islamic character of the students. Teacher role modeling as an example of good behavior significantly influences the internalization of discipline and moral values. Additionally, programs such as congregational dhuha prayers and reading the Qur'an before lessons effectively reinforce students' spiritual values. The enforcement of discipline through sanctions for violations of school regulations also contributes to better character formation. By creating a supportive learning environment and involving parents in the educational process, DTA At-Taqwa has successfully facilitated the positive development of Islamic character among its students. This study provides important contributions to the development of character education in Islamic educational institutions.
