Abstract

In this case, adoption or what is known as adoption is an act to acknowledge that the child is his own child where in terms of position and the emergence of blood relations. Adoption aims for the best interests of the child in order to realize child welfare and child protection, which is carried out based on local customs and provisions of laws and regulations, this is certainly to protect the child because basically the considerations in adopting this child do not sever the blood relationship between the adopted child and his biological parents. Prospective adoptive parents must also be of the same religion as the prospective adopted child, so that adoptive parents can educate and foster the adopted child. Children are a trust from God Almighty, so that they are attached to human dignity and honor where there are the same basic rights as other individuals. Adoption is a legal act as stated in Article 7 of Government Regulation Number 54 of 2007 concerning the Implementation of Child Adoption.
