Abstract

Nutritional issues within Indonesian society remain a government concern given their far-reaching impact on the health and quality of future human resources. Based on the results of the 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is one of the provinces with a relatively high prevalence of  Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) at 12.4 percent. Kerongkong Village is a village in East Lombok Regency where the majority of the population are farmers with abundant natural resources. "Isi Piringku" is a healthy eating guideline that emphasizes fulfilling balanced nutrition by paying attention to portion sizes and food variety, including staple foods, animal-based dishes, plant-based dishes, vegetables, and fruits. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase community knowledge and awareness in Kerongkong Village about the importance of implementing balanced nutrition guidelines by developing the "Isi Piringku" menu as an effort to prevent nutritional problems in the village community. Community service activities are participatory activities from community members consisting of counseling, lectures, questions and answers with target members which were carried out on September 15, 2025 at 09.30-11.30 WITA in Kerongkong Village Hall, East Lombok Regency. This activity was attended by 30 participants consisting of 7 pregnant women, 5 breastfeeding mothers, 11 members of the general public, 3 elderly people, and 4 teenagers. The results of this activity that the participants were very enthusiastic during the activity and after the post-test explained that there was an increase in knowledge in respondents who previously had poor knowledge (66.7%) to all having good knowledge (100%), the results of observations also showed that participants were able to answer the feedback questions given. This community service activity succeeded in increasing the understanding of the Kerongkong Village community about the importance of balanced nutrition and how to prepare a " Isi Piringku" menu. It is hoped that this program can be carried out sustainably with the support of the government and local health workers to create a healthy lifestyle and improve nutritional status in the community.
