Indonesia is one of the countries with enormous natural resource potential, including mining resources. However, the exploitation of mining resources often causes damaging environmental impacts. To protect the environment, the Indonesian government has created laws and regulations governing law enforcement against environmental violations in the mining industry. However, environmental violations are still committed by mining companies. This article discusses law enforcement against environmental violations in the mining industry in Indonesia, including the role of the government, mining companies, and the community in protecting the environment. This article also discusses the obstacles in law enforcement against environmental violations and efforts that can be made to overcome these obstacles.
