This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the scientific approach on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Science (IPA). The scientific approach is a learning model that emphasizes students’ active involvement through the stages of observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating, which is expected to enhance critical thinking skills and understanding of scientific concepts. The research method employed was a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 13 fourth-grade students. The instruments used included a science comprehension test and an observation sheet of students’ learning activities. The results showed that the average pretest score was 73.92, while the average posttest score increased to 76.71. Data analysis using a t-test indicated a significant improvement in students’ science comprehension after the implementation of the scientific approach. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the scientific approach in science learning contributes positively to improving the science comprehension of fourth-grade students.
