The results of the observation show that the science process skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Suranenggala have not developed optimally. This is due to the lack of use of concrete media, causing students to be less actively involved in the learning process. Therefore, concrete media as a visual aid is considered an effective solution because it provides direct learning experiences that are easier for students to understand. This study aims to determine the effect of using concrete media on the plant material toward the science process skills of fourth-grade students. The research type is a quasi-experimental design with a population of all fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Suranenggala, and the sample consisted of 29 students from class IV A. The instruments used were multiple-choice tests on science process skills and observation sheets. The instruments were tested for validity and reliability using IBM SPSS Statistics 30. Of the 16 test items, 10 were declared valid because the calculated r-value was greater than the r-table. The reliability test results showed r-count > r-table, namely 0.659 and 0.665 > 0.344, indicating that the instruments were reliable. The findings revealed that the use of concrete media had a significant effect on science process skills. Based on the paired sample t-test, the significance value was 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant effect. The average N-gain score for the experimental class was 0.4792 (medium category) and 0.2685 (low category) for the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of concrete media on plant material is effective in improving the science process skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Suranenggala, Cirebon Regency.
Erna Dewika DewikaMikkey Anggara SugandaFanni Zulaiha

This study aims to determine the effect of fraction board media on the learning outcomes of Mathematics on Simple Fraction Material at SDN Sangkuriang, Subang Regency. The problem is that students are unable to add fractions. This study uses quantitative with a quasi-experimental method in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. In this design, the population is divided into two groups, namely the experimental group that uses fraction board media and the control group that uses conventional methods. The population used is 32 students of grade 3 of SDN Sangkuriang. The instruments used are observation and tests. The results of the study that the fraction board media has an influence on the learning outcomes of mathematics on fraction material with an average pretest value of the control class being 54.86 and after being given treatment and then a posttest the average value is 68.40. While in the experimental class, the average pretest value is 58.68 then after being given treatment and given a posttest the average value is

79.17. Hypothesis testing is carried out using an independent sample t-test. In the SPSS 24 program, the hypothesis results obtained with a sig value of 0.000 < 0.05, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
Abstract

Writing skills are one of the essential basic competencies that elementary school students must master, particularly in the Indonesian language subject. However, field observations indicate that many fifth-grade students at SDN Penggung Utara, Cirebon City, still experience difficulties in constructing sentences, using punctuation, and developing ideas coherently and logically. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of implementing the Cooperative Concept Sentence learning approach to improve the writing skills of fifth-grade elementary school students and to analyze the effectiveness of this approach in enhancing their writing abilities. This study employs a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 26 fifth-grade students who received treatment in the form of learning activities using the Cooperative Concept Sentence method. Data were collected through speech text writing tests (pretest and posttest) and observations of students’ learning activities. The data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test and N-Gain calculation. The results show that the Cooperative Concept Sentence method is effective in improving students’ writing skills. The average pretest score of 57.04 increased to 85.08 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.635 or 63.5%, which falls into the medium category based on Hake’s (1999) criteria. The Paired Sample T-Test indicates a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, demonstrating a significant difference between students’ performance before and after the treatment. Improvements were observed across all writing indicators, including sentence structure, vocabulary, paragraph coherence, idea development, as well as punctuation and spelling accuracy. Thus, the implementation of the Cooperative Concept Sentence method is proven to be effective in enhancing the writing skills of elementary school students.

Keywords : Cooperative Concept Sentence, writing skills, Indonesian language learning, SDN Penggung Utara.
Indah SetianingsihDewi KusumaRokhmatun Nabillah

The observations revealed that the questioning skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Pangrango, Cirebon City, were still relatively low. Approximately 93.94% of the 33 students were recorded as inactive in asking questions during learning activities. To address this issue and encourage active student engagement, the ‘words in a question’ language game was implemented. This study aimed to examine the application of the ‘words in a question’ game and determine its effect on students’ questioning skills, including the extent of improvement following its implementation. This research employed a quantitative pre-experimental design with a population of 210 students from SDN Pangrango and a sample of 33 fifth-grade students. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 and Microsoft Excel 2010. Questionnaire results showed a percentage score of 90%, indicating that the implementation of the ‘words in a question’ game was highly effective in improving students’ questioning skills. The paired-sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000, meaning 0.000 < 0.05; thus, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted (indicating a significant effect). The average pretest score was 59%, while the posttest score increased to 80%, demonstrating improved questioning skills after the intervention. The mean N-Gain score of 0.5304 indicated a moderate improvement (medium category). Therefore, it can be concluded that the ‘words in a question’ game positively influences the Indonesian language questioning skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Pangrango, Cirebon City.
Ishika ValentinaDewi KusumaSyifa Nurbait
