This study aims to determine and analyze the role of the police in criminal acts in overcoming motorcycle gangs. This study is a normative legal study. Based on the study, it is concluded that overcoming criminal acts committed by motorcycle gangs can be done preventively (prevention) and repressively (action). This is inseparable from the duties and functions of the Police as regulated in Article 2 of Law Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Indonesian National Police which states that the function of the Police is one of the functions of the state government in the field of maintaining public security and order, law enforcement, protection, shelter and service to the community. The role of the Police is very much needed to eradicate and overcome or at least minimize negative actions carried out by motorcycle gangs in order to realize stability in every relationship in the midst of society.
