This phenomenon affects emotional aspects and influences an individual’s psychological well-being, including in the areas of work, academics, interpersonal relationships, and self-actualization. Individuals with impostor tendencies often experience high levels of anxiety, excessive perfectionism, and low self-confidence, which ultimately hinder their optimal self-development. Therefore, a deep understanding of this phenomenon is crucial for psychology practitioners and researchers in designing effective interventions to enhance individuals’ mental well-being. This study aims to compare various instruments used to measure the impostor phenomenon and determine the most appropriate tool for research and psychological practice. Using a literature study method that reviews various sources such as national and international journals and relevant books, the findings indicate that the Clance Impostor Phenomenon Scale (CIPS) is the most valid, reliable, and widely used instrument globally due to its strong conceptual structure, broad dimensional coverage, and consistent empirical support across cultures.
Mutiara Aqilla Tasya Ahman Yaya Sunarya Copyright (c) 2025 COUNSELIVE : Jurnal Konseling Kehidupan 2025-07-30 2025-07-30 1 1 8 15 Analisis Gaya Belajar Visual dan Auditori terhadap Motivasi Belajar di SMP Negeri 1 Greged https://journal.unucirebon.ac.id/index.php/counselive/article/view/1575
This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low student learning motivation in rural areas, particularly at SMP Negeri 1 Greged, which is still dominated by the implementation of conventional lecture-based learning methods. Based on initial observations, it was identified that the monotonous teacher-centered approach does not consider the diversity of student learning styles, thus potentially hindering the development of learning motivation, especially for students with a tendency towards visual and auditory learning styles. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of visual and auditory learning styles on improving student learning motivation. The method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study design, implemented through participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the multimodal learning intervention successfully transformed the learning environment to be more participatory and dynamic. The findings revealed significant improvements in four main aspects, namely: student activeness in group discussions, increased information retention through dual coding mechanisms, the development of courage to express oneself, and the creation of psychological safety in the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that understanding the diversity of learning styles and implementing a multimodal approach are key components in creating effective and inclusive learning, especially in rural areas. This study recommends the importance of integrating a learning style-based approach into pedagogical practices to improve student motivation and learning achievement.
Kyana Listia Octora Elin Maulida Rahmawati Ai Nurasih Khalimatus Sangdiyah Copyright (c) 2025 COUNSELIVE : Jurnal Konseling Kehidupan 2025-07-30 2025-07-30 1 1 36 43 Instrumen Kecemasan Akademik: A Systematic Literature Review https://journal.unucirebon.ac.id/index.php/counselive/article/view/1573
Academic anxiety is a feeling of tension and apprehension toward all possible outcomes that may occur, thereby disrupting academic processes such as examinations, assignments, and learning activities that require high levels of adaptation to academic demands. This condition can interfere with emotional balance, reduce concentration and motivation, and negatively affect students’ academic performance. This study aims to analyze the instruments used to measure academic anxiety. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) model. Out of 26 articles identified, only 7 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed further. The findings indicate that the Spielberger Test Anxiety Inventory (STAI) is the most frequently used instrument among researchers due to its high reliability and widespread international use, although it primarily measures general anxiety rather than academic anxiety specifically. It can be concluded that there is still a need for the development of measurement instruments that are more contextual and specific to academic situations, in order to more accurately capture the cognitive, emotional, and physiological aspects of students’ academic anxiety.
Bullying and cyberbullying are increasingly recognized as serious risk factors contributing to the rising incidence of suicide among adolescents across various countries. Differences in social and cultural contexts, as well as the extent of digital media use, result in varying prevalence rates of suicide risk associated with such forms of victimization. This study aims to explore the prevalence of suicide risk factors as a consequence of bullying and cyberbullying among adolescents. The research employed a systematic literature review method by examining scholarly articles obtained from databases including Google Scholar, Scopus, Routledge, and Sage Publishing. From a total of 200 articles identified using relevant keywords, seven met the inclusion criteria and were further analyzed. The review findings indicate that the majority of adolescents who experienced bullying and cyberbullying had attempted suicide at least once. Female adolescents exhibited a higher prevalence of suicidal ideation and suicide attempts compared to male adolescents. These findings confirm that bullying, both direct and online, represents a significant risk factor for adolescent mental health. Therefore, preventive efforts through character education, school counseling, and effective protective policies are necessary to reduce the negative impact of bullying on adolescents’ psychological well-being.
Lulu Noorkholisoh Elin Maulida Rahmawati Ipah Saripah Copyright (c) 2025 COUNSELIVE : Jurnal Konseling Kehidupan 2025-07-30 2025-07-30 1 1 25 35
